Awaken Gold Review – Awaken Your Brain

Introduction to my Awaken Gold Review

Today is my AWAKEN Gold review.  Awaken Gold follows in the footsteps of Awakened Alchemy, a good product.  Here is what they say about their product: “AWAKEN GOLD will assist you in fueling your ingenuity, unleashing your creativity, and developing the amazing possibilities of your mind”.awakened gold review

Sounds good, doesn’t it.  If you look at the ingredients which are key to the effects you hope to get and compare Awakened Alchemy with Awaken Gold the only difference between them is that Gold contains Noopept.   Yes, Noopept.

Because of the introduction of Noopept to the formula, Awaken Gold requires cycling (a cycle-on, cycle-off), unlike the original Awaken, which you can supplement with no worries of tolerance build-up.

Now look at the ingredients I will go over and if you add Noopept to this formula you can further ramp up your brain activity.

Here’s what someone had to say about Awaken Gold

Love this product. It’s been 3 days since I started it and I’ve noticed such a huge mental change that it’s almost unbelievable and doesn’t seem real. I’ll be using this product for a long time!

On to the meat and potatoes, the ingredients!

Ingredients of Awaken Gold

Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin)

Methylcobalamin is a highly bioavailable form of Vitamin B-12.  It promotes healthy levels of energy production, maintains our brain health, vitality, and an enhanced mood.

B12 Methylcobalamin is the biologically active form of vitamin B12, the form most readily absorbed into the body. It is a water-soluble vitamin that is necessary for various bodily processes, including energy production, nervous system function.

Beta-Phenylethylamine HCl

Beta-Phenylethylamine is better known as PEA. This neuro-amplifying compound potentiates the actions of dopamine, norepinephrine, acetylcholine, and serotonin for improved mood, cognition, and energy.

Phenethylamine increases dopamine and serotonin in the brain, which may promote a positive mood and lead to a greater sense of well-being and contentment [1].

In one study that took patients depression sufferers that didn’t respond to the conventional antidepressants and gave them Phenethylamine along with Selegiline and found that nine of 10 showed elevated moods [2].

Dopamine is an important neurotransmitter heavily involved in regulating attention. By increasing levels of dopamine, adrenaline, and noradrenaline (epinephrine and norepinephrine), phenethylamine may be able to increase energy, focus, and alertness.

CDP Choline (Citicoline)

Choline is needed in order to make the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is required for cognitive and muscular function.

Essentially Citicoline is a brain nutrient supporting our attention, focus, our mental energy, and general cognitive health. Citicoline works supporting phospholipid metabolism, mitochondrial function, and neuroplasticity.

It is very useful for improving working memory and executive function [3].  The elderly use it to slow age-related memory loss and neuronal decay [4].

CDP choline is one of the best and most bioavailable sources of choline.

It is a great addition for memory, energy, and focus.

KSM-66 Ashwagandha Extract (Std. to 5% Withanolides)

Ashwagandha has been shown to enhance memory and other cognitive functions and may help with the symptoms of depression and anxiety. A classical use for Ashwagandha in Ayurvedic medicine is as a tonic to improve strength. This has been studied recently and it has been found that men who take 300mg-150mg per day had a significant increase in muscle strength.

Another great addition to anxiety and depression.

L-Theanine

L-Theanine is a very reliable anxiolytic that calms cognition without sedation. It promotes alpha-wave brain production and this increase in alpha-waves promote relaxation without drowsiness or sedation.

Alpha brain-wave production also happens during deep meditation, when all of our sensory inputs are minimized and our mind is generally clear of unwanted thoughts or distractions. Interestingly, stimulating alpha waves has also been shown to boost creativity and alleviate depression.

N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine

NALT, as it is called, is a potent and bioavailable form of the amino acid L-Tyrosine. L-Tyrosine is a precursor to neurotransmitters that include Dopamine, Norepinephrine and Epinephrine and is critical to a number of bodily functions, including cognitive processes, building muscles and cell growth and recovery.

N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine showed that in double-blind human trials it supports peak performance by reducing our stress, elevate our mood and motivation and increase our focus clarity of thinking.

Because we don’t need this amino acid in extra amounts when at a normal healthy state, it is more beneficial when we are under either physical or environmental stress.

One study found that military personnel who were exposed to cold and altitude stressors were able to withstand these much better after taking L-tyrosine [5].

Uridine 5′-Monophosphate

Uridine is a naturally occurring nucleic acid that plays an important role in a lot of different neuroregulatory processes. It is believed to support short and long term memory, learning, attention, and executive function.

Uridine is one of the precursors to Ribonucleic Acid (RNA). Storing memories in our brain requires large amounts of RNA to facilitate protein translation at your neuronal synapses.

Taking Uridine supplements will increase levels of RNA in your brain and improve your memory formation and retention.

Phosphatidylserine 20%

Phosphatidylserine is part of a category of fat-soluble substances called that are called phospholipids. Phospholipids are necessary components of cell membranes.

Phosphatidylserine is found in high concentrations in the brain and it is part of the cell structure and is key in the maintenance of cellular function. It can boost our short term memory and mood, improve our concentration level, enhance our learning and ability to retain information, and nourish our brain cells.

Noopeptawaken gold review

Here’s the defining ingredient separating Awaken Gold from Awakened Alchemy.

Noopept is very similar to the Racetam group because it’s the mechanism of action is similar, however, it is not a Piracetam.

You’ll find your mental energy is improved. Sort of like getting rid of the ‘brain fog’ feeling we get sometimes.  Everything will become clearer and require less thought when supplementing with Noopept.

Noopept assists with memory formation, but with additional benefits including enhanced memory consolidation and retrieval [6].

PQQ (Pyrroloquinoline Quinone Disodium Salt)

It is believed that PQQ is able to reduce cellular ageing by protecting mitochondrial function. The best research on this deals with mental health associated with the elderly rather than a healthy younger person.

PQQ is a micronutrient that acts as an antioxidant in your body that protects your cells and mitochondria from the effects of damaging free radicals.

Taking PQQ may be able to optimize the health and function of your entire central nervous system (CNS), improving your energy levels, memory and higher cognitive function.

A double-blind, placebo-controlled human clinical trial found that participants who were given 20 mg/day of PQQ improved their short-term memory, attention and concentration, information identification, and processing ability in healthy adults.

Bioperine® (Black Pepper (Piper Nigrum) Fruit Extract)

This is the active ingredient in black pepper that contributes to the spice and unique taste of ordinary table pepper. Piperine benefits are just now being studied and discovered. It helps with nutrient absorption, improved metabolism, improved memory, and improved mental skills.

This black pepper extract has been shown to enhance the bioavailability and absorption of the other ingredients in AWAKEN!

Noopept Addition

The difference between Awaken Gold and Awakened Alchemy is Noopept.  When you look at other commercial stacks, for the stimulant factor, caffeine is usually what they use.  However, there is no caffeine in Awaken Gold, but Noopept instead.  The stimulating factor is Noopept.

Pros

  • The Awakened Alchemy formula is a well thought out and useful, no question. Adding Noopept was a game changer.
  • The addition of Noopept as a ‘stimulant’ over perhaps caffeine is a good choice.
  • The Bioperine is a great choice and is an ingredient in Alchemy as well
  • Money Back Guarantee

Cons

  • The noopept factor makes cycling necessary.

Where to Buy AWAKEN Gold

AWAKEN products are available from their online store only as far as I can tell. As of right now, they don’t appear on Amazon.  You can click here or on the bottle to the right to go directly to the order page of Awaken Gold to purchase.

To Wrap It Up

First let me say, it works and it works well.  I like to get that out right away in my wrapup because let’s face it, that’s what you want to know.

They use very high ingredients and are known for that and the effects of the product speak for themselves.  Including Noopept was a surprise to me, but a good one.  It is a game changer and elevates Gold to a different level.

AWAKEN Gold combines natural and synthetic to its ingredients, but in a somewhat subtle way without this big bang holy cow feeling that others have.  This subtleness should appeal to anyone especially those new to nootropics.

If you want to read about AWAKENED ALCHEMY you can find all you need to know by reading my review.

I have included Awaken Gold in my Best Nootropics for 2019 Article and you can read it HERE!

  1. Hi Stew – interesting post and one that I enjoyed reading.  My family and I have always tried to stay active and do take supplements to assist with waht we do.  I admit however I have always avoided supplements that have anything to do with stimulation as such due to the fact that I actually have a real ‘come down’ from them.  For example (and not a good comparison I know) if I have a red bull I feel energised for 10 mintues then suffer a real crash afterwards.

I know that is not the same as what you are talking about here but I have also experienced this with some of the high caffine BCAAs.  I guess my question is the same as do you get anybody experiencing a crash from these types of products as I think they are something that I would like to add to my supplement list.

    Paul

    • The beauty of these supplements is that they don’t send you crashing.  It is one reason some people take a stimulant nootropic.  No side effects and no crash.

  2. I appreciate all the information I found in here, and thanks for the awesome review. Amidst the technical terms, there’s one thing in the article that got my attention which is related to the thing that’s bothering me with regard to food supplements and vitamin preparations that we are taking…

    The Tolerance Build Up

I’ve been hearing this phrase before. A friend of mine who is a distributor of a well-known food supplement brand once told me that we should take a food supplement for a duration of 6 months only and after that, one should take another or different kind of supplement because, it is possible that you have already developed a tolerance to the old one.

How true is that? Is there any reference or proof on the web that we can read to verify that theory?

    • Hi Gomer,

I talk about cycling nootropic supplements quite a bit in may articles.  Cycling is ‘time on, time off’ of the supplements.  Usually, most we suggest a 3 week on and 1 week off, but for a few we suggest 3 days on and one day off.

  3. Hi Stew. A well thought out and organized post.

Everything about it is professional. I like the screen shot of the label and then how you break out each ingredient and its benefits.

The difference between Awaken Alchemy and Awaken Gold. If anyone was taking Alchemy before, they are able to see the difference between the two.

The short video on Gold was a smart addition.

You come through as being very informed and knowledgeable of the product, this will instill confidence in prospective customers.

I have book marked your site and will follow and comment in the future.

  4. Thank you for this review of Awaken gold. There is a lot of good information in your article about the ingredients in this supplement. Are There any studies on how much this will help someone gain more of these attributes of accelerated learning or enhanced focus and clarity? Also since they use Noopept instead of caffeine would this be ok for someone who could not have caffeine or is it in the same family?

    • Noopept is not technically a stimulant.  Caffeine is and comes with side effects we all know and hate.  Noopept at the 30mg dose in the formula will give you a stimulating effect with no side effects or crash like caffeine.

  5. I enjoyed reading this review. I am a chemist so most of these ingredients are familiar to me. Putting together made it a great product, per your review.

I personally am not in favor of taking any so-called brain-enhancing drug but it looks tempting as I grow old.

Ashwagandha is our family favorite and we use it for multiple symptoms. PPQ has not been tried with younger people.

It is assumed! the ingredients do not react with each other. But is that so?

Bioperine comes from black pepper. I have read somewhere it contains alpha-toxin which that creates pores causing hemolysis and tissue damage.

As has been mentioned as cons, there is cycling necessary. But people would not mind if the product works. I like the money back guarantee scenario.

It would be interesting to know how long has this product is in the market.

  6. Thanks for all the great information!  I have had some chronic, although not severe, health issues over the last couple and am very picky about what goes into my body.  Your breakdown, description and use of each ingredient is very important to me.  Thank again for taking the time to be so detailed.

  7. Sounds like something I need in my life considering I’m lethargic a lot these days and I don’t know why. I have changed my diet so many times to see if that helps but it doesn’t. Surely I must be deficient in something to always feel this way so I have decided to give Awaken Gold a try and see if it helps my problem. I have a question though; what’s the policy on their money back guarantee? Cheers

    • Glad you like the article. I really appreciate it.

As far as the guarantee. Here is what they say

Awakened Alchemy offers a 100% Satisfaction Money Back Guarantee, applicable up to 60 days following your purchase.

  8. Never heard of Awaken Gold before, but I love the ingredients and the reviews! I have often been in the market looking for something like this and usually don’t find much. My dad introduced me to neurotics a while back and I have continued using some as a healthy supplement. I really like everything about this supplement. Plus the video is cool too. Thanks for the post! This was very helpful!

    • Glad you liked it.  These nootropic supplements are of great benefit to us and the best thing is most of them are natural.

Thanx for the comment.  Really appreciate it!!
