Introduction to Nitrovit
Nitrovit has been on the market for some time now with some great reviews from critics to users. Does Nitrovit work? When you look at the ingredients and understand why each of them are included you can get a pretty good picture of why.
Nitrovit has its own unique blend of stimulants, herbs, vitamins and amino acids. This blend also takes into consideration side effects and has built one claiming no side effects.
What does it do? Well, it helps to increase blood flow to your brain. By doing so more oxygen and vitamins flow to your brain. When this is achieved, you are more alert (no more brain fog).
It also helps in strengthening the neurotransmitters you have in your brain.
The neuroprotectives in this blend do the job of protecting your brain allowing you to preserve your memories and have better and faster recall of those memories.
In a nutshell, here’s what Nitrovit claims it does for you
- Improve Memory and recall
- Improve Focus and Concentration
- Decrease Anxiety
Let’s now go over the ingredients and why they are here.
Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR)
it is a pretty powerful antioxidant that crosses the blood-brain barrier to aid in producing the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and also to promote healthy blood flow to our brain.
Acetylcholine has been written about extensively because of it’s important in healthy memory, analysis, learning, and perception as well as others. When you increase the level of acetylcholine, you have an increase in synaptic flexibility (1) and memory function.
Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA)
This is another nootropic found naturally throughout our bodies and this one in every human cell. It is involved heavily with a lot of body functions increasing our energy levels and promoting enhanced cognitive performance
Alpha Lipoic Acid has a fantastic ability to neutralize the damaging effects of oxidative stress. Studies show lipoic acid reduces damage to the brain caused by a stroke. (2)
This antioxidant also increases the production of acetylcholine and glucose uptake in the brain. Studies have shown there is promise it may help prevent or managing Alzheimer’s Disease. (3)
Bacopa Leaf Powder
Bacopa is commonly used as an anti-ageing supplement because it protects neurons from all sorts of time accumulating damage to our brain. It is neuroprotector and an antioxidant which can slow the natural cognitive decline as well as improve our learning ability.
Studies show Bacopa can improve memory in elderly people. (4) These capabilities aren’t limited to just older people as another study shows us. 76 people between the ages of 40 and 65 took part and the result was that Bacopa increased the ability to retain new information. This study was followed up with indications it decreased forgetfulness of that new information. (5)
Caffeine everyone knows is the most popular stimulant in the world and used by billions of people. It keeps us alert and focused.
Caffeine has other benefits such as its ability to improve our memory uptake and recollection in both short and long term memory. Studies show that its use goes far as being great for people with a degenerative brain disease (6)
It is believed that Caffeine blocks adenosine receptors, and therefore upregulates the release of neurotransmitters. One of these neurotransmitters, dopamine is the “feel good” neurotransmitter giving us a feeling of pleasure and reward. (7)
Noopept is a nootropic supplement made in Russia and now found anywhere in the world. It is also one of the heavy hitters involved in cognitive function. It is said to be up to 1000 times more powerful than Piracetam, its predecessor
Noopept is taken as a memory enhancer and also improves our learning process. It assists in memory function and retrieval. It also enhances cognitive performance and our logical thinking
There are studies that show Noopept is a neuroprotectant. (8) It has antioxidant properties as well as anti-inflammatory actions, an ability to prevent neurotoxicity of excess calcium and glutamate and improves blood flow to the brain.
is a natural compound of choline that helps to increase the amount of choline available to your brain. It delivers choline to your brain by bypassing the blood-brain barrier. If you increase the amount of choline available to your brain, you will have an easier time with learning and remembering new things, as well as a variety of other brain health benefits that can improve your life as a whole.
This capability makes Alpha GPC of particular value in the treatment of memory loss and cognition deficits related to neurological disorders.
Many studies and trials have been completed involving thousands of people and it is shown to be an effective treatment for memory loss from brain damage caused by stroke, Alzheimer’s and dementia. (9)
Also known as Velvet Bean, Cowitch, Werepe, Karara, Agbara, Macuna Pruriens is a highly reliable source of dopamine for the brain.
Because of Macuna Pruriens source of dopamine, the best benefit of this nootropic is for increased dopamine in the brain. It is responsible for regulating cognitive functions that include hand-eye coordination and or course our mood.
Macuna Pruriens are very good at helping improve our memory and cognitive abilities as shown by a few studies. This study shows that Macuna Pruriens can help with memory retention, however, there is not enough proof to fully support this at this time. (10)
It is also used to alleviate the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease which occur when patients have too low levels of dopamine in the brain, Mucuna Pruriens is a great source of Levodopa (L-dopa) which is changed to dopamine in the brain. (11)
N Acetyl L-Tyrosine
Called NALT for short is an acetylated form of L-tyrosine which is the amino acid that produces noradrenaline and dopamine as well as cognition enhancement and boosting your memory and mood It also increases your focus and just improves your mental performance overall.
Being exposed to stress our bodies lose dopamine and norepinephrine. When that happens we experience a lack of ability to focus and. Studies do show that taking NALT daily keeps our minds sharp which improves our productivity. (12)
Users of NALT write that they experience an elevated sense of awareness as well as quicker and easier access to long term memories.
Huperzine A is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. This means that it inhibits the formation of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase.
Acetylcholinesterase is the enzyme which breaks down the neurotransmitter acetylcholine which is known as the “learning neurotransmitter”. Among other things, it is part of many brain functions including muscle contraction and the formation of memories. Acetylcholine acts on part of our brain that is responsible for focus, attention, and motivation.
Centrophenoxine works by increasing the levels of Acetylcholine. Therefore taking Centrophenoxine and increasing Acetylcholine creates better cognition.
It has also been shown to help with Alzheimer’s and Dementia and general cognition. It may enhance our mood and help with ADHD as well. Many times it is combined with traditional Alzheimer’s drugs to increase its effectiveness.
Centrophenoxine is a great antioxidant. It reduces free radicals in our brains and reduces “brain ageing“
PS (Short form) is a natural substance found in brain cell membranes that are important for cognitive performance and neurogenesis, steadily declines as we get older. Increasing your PS levels back to normal may help to enhance cognitive performance, improve memory retention, promote healthy mood, slow cognitive ageing and decline.
One of the ideas in formulating this stack was to keep side effects out. It seems that they accomplished that at least at the suggested doses.
What I have read on Reddit were some experiencing headaches and a tolerance build up, but reading further and the headache comes from those taking higher than normal doses. Tolerance is because they are not cycling their nootropics. Not too smart on either front.
Does Nitrovit Work
Based on the many thousands of online reviews and word of mouth, yes it does. I haven’t tried it personally, but I am thinking about it.
Most people experience the results they expect, others seem to feel it much more than others. Some like that and some don’t.
The usual rule applies here as I always right. Start at the low dose that is on the bottle, see how that feels and then if you want more bump it up slowly.
I am very familiar with almost all of those ingredients and they are all effective on their own and when in other nootropic stacks. That said, I think it is a well put together product that works.
