Introduction to Perfect Keto Nootropic
This is my first article on a product that is Keto friendly. Let’s see now as I do my Perfect Keto Nootropic review. First of all for those who have heard of Keto, but aren’t familiar with what Keto is I should go over it quickly so you have a little understanding before wondering what’s the difference between this nootropic stack and other nootropic stacks.
What is the Keto Diet
The keto diet is an eating plan that consists of 80 percent fat and little to no carbohydrates. Staples of the keto diet are fish, meat, eggs, dairy, oils, and green vegetables. Pasta, rice and other grains, potatoes, and fruits are strictly prohibited.
Keto works by changing the way the body turns food into energy. Typically, during digestion, we break down carbohydrates into molecules of fructose, galactose, and glucose, the last of which serves as the body’s primary source of energy.
When the body can’t draw it from carbohydrates, either because they’ve been cut out of the diet or because a person hasn’t eaten for a long time, it looks for other forms of energy. The keto diet deliberately places the body in a state of ketosis, where fat is released from cells and turned into ketones, the body’s plan B for energy production.
What’s in Keto Nootropic Making it Keto
The Perfect Keto Nootropic formula contains what is called exogenous ketones. These are ketones you consume rather than have your body make itself. These are used to fuel cognitive activities along with MCTs (medium-chain triglycerides) and grass-fed collagen peptides for continuous fuel. For those who fast or wish to continue what they are doing rather than have a large meal, these fill that void.
3.6g of BHB
Gives you a nice lift in ketones (which are used preferentially by the heart and brain)
Beta-Hydroxybutyrate (BHB) is a ketone body that is produced in the liver from fat for energy needed when there isn’t any glucose available. It ends up being the biggest source of energy for your brain and body.
During Ketosis your liver naturally produces BHB, however, this can take quite a long time. This length of time can result in fatigue, brain fog, and hunger for sugar or fast acting source of energy. Supplementing with BHP provides your body with what it needs preventing those symptoms.
4g grass-fed collagen
When on a keto diet, you are permitted to eat a moderate amount of protein around 15-30% of your daily calories. For your body to effectively use this small amount of protein it needs to be easily digestible and bioavailable.
Supplementing with collagen gives your body that easily digestible protein. It also gives quick energy you can use as for post-workout recovery.
5g MCT powder
As the name suggests, medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil contains medium-length chains of fats called triglycerides. Due to their shorter length, MCTs are easily digested and many health benefits are linked to the way your body processes these fats.
For the purpose of nootropics, MCT powder benefit is:
MCT has been called a super fuel since your body absorbs MCTs more rapidly than long-chain triglycerides (LCTs), which contain more carbons in their fatty acid chains.
Due to their shorter chain length, MCTs travel straight from your digestive system to your liver and do not require bile to break down as the longer-chain fats do. MCTs easily enter your cells without being broken down and therefore they can easily be used as energy straight away, they can be used.
If on a ketogenic diet, MCTs can also be converted into ketones in the liver, then pass through the blood-brain barrier and energizing your brain.
Other Nootropic Ingredients
Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a phospholipid nutrient present in all the cells in our body and with the most concentration being in our brain’s nerve cells. PS is crucial for improving recall and for promoting our level of attention, learning and mental sharpness. PS has been extensively researched in humans, animals, and cultured cells, and is the most proven nutrient for memory.
PS may slow cognitive decline, and promote a positive-minded outlook. It has been shown to help age-related brain degeneration, slowing the progression of memory loss while helping with mood, anxiety, socialization and mental clarity.
PS is the only nootropic with an FDA-qualified claim for reducing cognitive decline risk.
Research shows us that it improves our blood flow. This is why research is continuously being conducted on blood flow related problems such as headaches and some vision impairments and sexual problems.
Because of its ability to decrease the viscosity of our blood, we have great nootropic benefits. Making our blood less sticky improving blood flow, it allows better oxygen flow which results in better cognitive ability.
Ginkgo also increases our levels of the neurotransmitter Acetylcholine which is related to learning and effects dopamine which then elevates our mood.
Alpha Lipoic Acid
Alpha lipoic acid (lipoic acid or thiotic acid) is a natural fatty acid that is found inside all of the cells in our body and is there to produce energy our body needs for its normal functions. What it does is it converts glucose into energy.
Antioxidants help fight oxidation, a normal chemical process that takes place in the body every day. When there are disruptions in the natural oxidation process, highly unstable and potentially damaging molecules called free radicals are created. Free radicals are suspected in the development of Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, cataracts, diabetes, kidney disease, and age-related blindness.
Some say L-Theanine is ‘meditation in a capsule’ or in a bag of green tea. The use of green tea for therapeutic benefits goes back a long way in China to almost 5,000 years ago. The Japanese are so into their green tea they have a ceremony for it and a tea house specifically for green tea.
L-theanine causes an increase in ALPHA wave activity, the brainwave state associated with relaxation and attention.
It is also a recognized anxiolytic (anxiety reducer) that has been shown to improve our quality of sleep and improve our mental and physical stress symptoms by producing a feeling of calmness, reduced heart rate and blood pressure.
Bacopa Whole Herb (50% bacosides)
This is a pretty good extract of Bacopa. Mind Lab Pro, a great nootropic stack uses 45% bacosides. Unfortunately, we do not know what the dosage is per serving as it is not shown.
There have been many studies that show Bacopa Monnieri can help us preserve our memory longer and enhance our cognitive function.
There was a report released in 2014 that was published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology that analyzed 9 studies on the effects of Bacopa on cognitive function. It was concluded that it does have the potential to improve our cognition, but more widespread studies are still needed.
Another report also reviewed previous studies on bacopa for cognitive performance and they found evidence that Bacopa can improve our memory when completing free-recall tests.
Let’s face it, chemotherapy drugs play havoc on our system as deep as causing damage to our DNA. In animal studies it has been shown that Cat’s Claw has the ability to restore cellular DNA, preventing mutations and cell damages caused by the chemotherapy drugs.
When To Take Perfect Keto Nootropic
A good start would be, to begin with a half serving and work up to a full serving
- In the morning fasted or not to start the day clarity and focus
- In the afternoon if you hit a wall of lethargy and fatigue
Other great times are:
- Before a workout to increase performance
- At the beginning of a work or study session
- Whenever you want a mental boost
Who Should Take Perfect Keto Nootropic?
If you are not Vegan or Vegetarian then you can take it and benefit from it. However, this nootropic blend contains collagen from grass-fed cows so Vegans and vegetarians should avoid it.
If you are pregnant, nursing, or planning on getting pregnant then you should avoid it.
You can safely buy Perfect Nootropic Keto Nootropic at Amazon.ca
I think this is a good jump into nootropics for those on the Deto diet. It has the grass-fed collagen for supplemented protein and BHP to boost ketones.
As a nootropic, it has the usual suspects, all natural and positive. However once again we find a producer not willing to show the serving sizes. Now that is a shame. How do you know how much you get?
