My Best Nootropic Supplements for 2019 Intro
We are already almost mid-February and I’m finally posting this article about the best nootropic supplements for 2019. It has taken me a while to put this together because I did look at more than a few. Many were really great products and I had a hard time eliminating some from my list.
Nootropics continue to evolve at a very fast rate and what once was considered great is now not so well looked upon. Take this for instance. It wasn’t long ago that heavy ‘smart synthetic’ nootropics were all the rage. Mind-bending stuff was out there and still is, but look at a trend happening now. Natural nootropics are where we are headed now I believe.
These are usually supplements or medicines that have been around for thousands of years. They initially would start out being used for certain illnesses right down to body aches. It didn’t take long for the people to figure out the nootropic side of them.
I tend toward the natural side of nootropics. There are more and more commercial stacks available today that are composed mostly of natural nootropics if not completely natural nootropics and you know what? People love it and so do those who write about them. I have heard more and more lately, this phrase, “This stack is excellent for their all-natural formula”.
OK, anyway, now on to my three best nootropic supplements for 2019. These aren’t in any particular order and I don’t choose from any one of them. In my mind, they all have the best qualities and any would provide great benefits for anyone.
I have just written a detailed article on Awaken Gold and when I had finished it, I knew I had to replace one and include this one on my list.
I had also written an article a while ago on Awakened Alchemy and really liked what it had to offer. Then came Gold and essentially kept the Alchemy’s ingredients, but added some punch to the all-natural list of ingredients. Noopept! Noopept isn’t natural, but it acts as a stimulant with no side effects.
Awaken Gold is the knockout punch version of Alchemy and that can only be good considering how good Awakened Alchemy really is.
Now that I’ve opened the door to Noopept, for those who aren’t super familiar with what it does or is, I’ll quickly put it down in bullet form
- Noopept is very similar to piracetam. It has more immediate effects and they are more pronounced.
- Being synthetic there is the worry of addiction, but be rest assured it is not addictive.
- If cycled properly and the dose kept as recommended, there are no side effects.
What It’s Got
Well, first of all, it has noopept and this makes it a game changer is of course Noopept. I find this really unique in that at first look it doesn’t belong there given that the rest of the formula is natural. Not only that, but you don’t find it in other commercial stacks all that often. When I said that there is a movement to natural and then you find Noopept in this stack. It’s a unique ingredient, but it works exceptionally well for the whole. OK, enough said about Noopept.
If you take a look at the ingredients, it is easy to see they are the best of what they are. More on that below.
Awaken Golds’ Quality Ingredients
They could have put B12, choline, tyrosine, ashwagandha, and black pepper extract, but no, they upped the bar with vitamin B12 (as Methylcobalamin). They added Citicoline plus Uridine. They also chose KSM-66 Ashwagandha, BioPerine Black Pepper Extract, and N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine. When talking about natural nootropics, these are the best versions of what they are.
Mind Lab Pro
I had no problem putting this one in my top three for one major reason. Mind Lab Pro markets its product as the first “Universal Nootropic”. What do they mean by that? Well, most of the other stacks on the market including the ones in my list target specific areas of your brain while Mind Lab Pro is designed to target every area of your brain.
The approach Opti-Nutra took when designing this stack was to use nootropics that had multiple nootropic benefits each. By doing this they needed far fewer nootropics in their formula, and when combining them all you get even greater nootropic stack.
This nootropic stack has been review and studied across the board and has held up to the test getting great reviews time and time again from actual users.
What It’s Got
Mind Lab Pro provides real and very positive brain boosts but does not contain a synthetic stimulant. All the ingredients are very clean and natural nootropics. It is something that is gaining momentum now, but no other commercial nootropic stack has been able to achieve what Mind Lab Pro has. Just look at the ingredients:
Mind Lab Pro and Their Quality
Opti-Nutra came to play when they decided to go natural. Look at the ingredients above again and they aren’t your average run-of-the-mill nootropics. They are the best they can put in this stack and work fabulously with each and every other ingredient.
They have chosen the more enhanced and more potent forms of most of the ingredients.
- Cognizine® Citicoline
- PS® Phosphatidylserine
- BioGenesis® B Vitamins
- Lion’s Mane
- Bacopa Monniera
- Suntheanine® L-Theanine
- Rhodiola Rosea Extract (std. to 3% rosavins, 1% salidroside)
- Maritime Pine Bark Extract (std. to 95% proanthocyanidins)
Opti-Nutra states that Mind Lab Pro is the cleanest brain supplement ever developed. There are no additives and no fillers.
All the ingredients are tested before encapsulation to make sure they are free of allergens, GMO’s, microbes, pesticides, and herbicides. The plant-based capsules are made out of tapioca, a prebiotic fibre.
Even though Qualia has been around for a while, it is still one of the most comprehensive commercial stacks out there. 42 ingredients! That’s a lot of ingredients and each one is useful. Qualia is designed to amplify everything that matters most for cognitive function.
Qualia is an energy-boosting nootropic supplement. It is made up of two separate stacks that are divided into step one and step two, using all the 42 ingredients. These two separate steps make up one overall nootropic stack (Qualia) and are designed to physiologically and biologically improve cognitive functioning.
The idea behind the two-step process is to give you a boost of energy when you need.
Qualia is definitely known for improving focus and concentration. As far as the reviews say, there are not many stacks like Qualia that have such a powerful impact on our focus!
What It’s Got
Qualia increases focus and concentration and does it through various mechanisms. The first is a popular combination of caffeine and L-theanine. These two working together are virtually famous. The others here to improve focus and attention are artichoke extract and forskolin which is the backbone of CILTEP.
The doses of each ingredient are good. They are actually normal for what they need to do or just a little underdosed which I will balk at a little. Just because there are companies that underdone their products (some quite a lot) doesn’t mean Qualia should underdone even just a little. This doesn’ affect the product, however.
Qualia’s Quality of Ingredients
This stack features 42 ingredients, and there is no doubt they have included every nootropic ingredient they could that would achieve what they were looking for. Of course, they just didn’t stick their hands in a bucket and pull out random nootropics, they have carefully researched them to get the perfect formula. The 42 ingredients are divided into seven distinct categories.
- Adaptogen Extracts
- Neuro Minerals
- Nootropic Compounds
- Choline Donors
- Neuro-Anti-inflammatories and Antioxidants
- Amino Acids
- Neuro- Vitamins
To Wrap it Up
It is fairly clear that I have included 3 stacks that contain a lot or all natural nootropics. I didn’t just say, hey guys if you don’t have natural then I am not going to include you. No!. There is a growing trend toward natural nootropics over the ‘smart pills’. By doing so we don’t give up on great nootropic effects as is being proven with these high-quality products.
I have chosen high-quality products because they include high-quality ingredients.
We look at Mind Lap Pro and all of their ingredients are the best you can have and still be natural. Natural also keeps cycling to a minimum and the chance of addiction almost nil.
Awaken Gold does contain one synthetic nootropic which is non-addictive but does need to be cycled. The rest of the ingredients are of high quality and natural.
Qualia, well they have them all, a whopping 42 ingredients, but not just a Hodge podge. They all work together well and are part of what has been considered the best stack for a few years now. Problem is the price. Whew, it’ expensive!
